Ben Ikin Supports Gold Coast Local Community Financial Services Centre
Ben Ikin of Brisbane Bronco's fame will be the Guest of Honour at the opening of Gold Coast's local community financial services centre, AIMS Home Loans.
AIMS Home Loans on the Gold Coast will be the first branch in Queensland particularly focused on bringing financial services back to the community. The new office is located in Currumbin and will start business in February, with the official VIP launch party scheduled for 6th February 2004.
The roll-out of 50 AIMS branches to create a unique community-focused Agency Network commenced in 2003. James Green, Agency Network Manager for AIMS Home Loans describes the Gold Coast branch as, "Gold Coast's Local Community Financial Services Centre."
Green says, "As with all our agencies, our goal is to bring financial services back to the community: to get actively involved with the community. We are open to any possible avenues for sponsorship or community involvement. On top of this, the staff will know their customers personally. It sounds pretty basic but these things are rare with financial institutions."
"Each AIMS branch is owned and operated by people from the community in which they operate and they know the local area intimately. Their children go to school in the area. They can say: Good street, I know a great restaurant not far from you. Have you been there? They love that you know their area."
The AIMS Gold Coast team is made up of individuals from the Gold Coast community, headed by Agency Principals, Sally and Robert Morrison. They look forward to supporting local community initiatives such as the Surf Life Saving Club in Currumbin.
The launch party will be held at the office itself. Local boy and sport celebrity Ben Ikin, former Five-Eighth for Brisbane Broncos, Queensland State of Origin and Australian Rugby League representative will be the Guest of Honour at the event officially declaring the AIMS Agency open. The guest list includes media as well as industry professionals and local business and community representatives.
